Son was born 9lbs 1oz (93 percentile). at two week follow up he was 9lbs (70th percentile). at 4 weeks he was 9lb 11oz (50th percentile) and has stayed 50th. since he dropped over two major percentile lines is this failure to thrive? should i worry?

At 2 weeks your baby regained his birth weight (not much different between 9.1 and 9.0 even with the same scale which is likely not) and then he gained almost one oz every day from week 2 to week 4 so I think your baby does not fit the term failure to thrive.

Continue to follow up with your pediatrician. Discuss any feeding problems. The weight gain over the last two weeks is adequate. The baby should follow his growth curve.
