How can i get my sugar dr to understand that the periodontal disease raises blood pressure and sugar levels? i been taking 150 units per meal for 3 years now safely, i check my sugar about 6 times a day. blood work? i have nothing to hide?

Your 'sugar doctor ' is well versed about effects other diseases on High blood pressure and sugar levels. Discuss your feelings about it with her/him. If unsatisfied get another MD who would listen to your concerns. Good luck

Look in. a mirror. The responsibility for keeping yourself healthy is yours. Diabetes increases your responsibility. 16 year olds should not have periodontal disease. As you do have a gum/bone infection history, you need to be evaluated by a specialist Periodontist. Until you get your gum disease under control other organ systems are at risk.
