You : You might have a slight infection of the meibomian gland at the base of the eyelids. Since you have had no improvement with hot compress, see your eye doctor to determine if you need an anti-biotic or suggest using eyelid scrubs to clean the lid margin. Typical treatment will include twice a day lid scrubs (ocusoft lid scrubs are a good option), warm compresses for 5-10 minutes 2xs a day for 1 week and then 1x a day for a week and then 3xs a week or as needed. Instilling artificial tears (preservative free preferred) 2-4x's daily. Possible anti-biotic 1-2xs a day for 1-2 weeks.
