I was told i have a #10 chronic fractured rib and a #6 acute fractured rib. what do each of these mean?

Did you fall a lot? Chronic #10 rib fracture means this rib was broken months or years ago and the fracture has been healed which can be seen on the X-ray film. Acute #6 rib fracture can be seen on X-ray within days of the injury when the crack or displaced rib sections is not healed yet.
