Your child has daily headache so she has likely received pain pill for the headache by her primary care doctor so medication overuse headache could one of the most common causes of secondary chronic headache. Tension-type headache, migraine and trigeminal autonomic cephalalgias, including cluster headaches are the others if brain imaging (CT or MRI) is negative. She needs a pediatric neurologist.

If your pediatrician is so worried. why doesn't (s)he order a CT or MRI him/herself? A normal CT or MRI would eliminate a lot of worrisome possibilities and would narrow the differential diagnosis considerably. Try looking online for an academic pediatric neurologist who has a special interest in pediatric headache disorders, and correspond with him/her.
