Go to ER ASAP!: You may be suffering from a severe postpartum infection or just a virus. With such high fever it is best to be seen in the er asap to avoid complications. In the meantime it is best that you stay away from your newborn so as to avoid transmitting your infection (if viral). Best wishes for a speedy and full recovery without neonatal problems.

Fever postpartum: I would call your ob! for the baby if you are breast feeding i would pump and have someone else feed until your fever is gone. The molecules that your body makes to fight your illness can pass through the breast milk and help protect your baby. If your baby gets a fever (rectal temp of 100.4 or greater) then you need to bring him/her in to see the doctor.
