A member asked:

38yr old female recent cbc normal.but b12 1119 ug/l range 130-900ug/l eat salmon almost daily.can lab tests place a percentage of healthy people outside the high range on testing? b12 test in march was 750ug/l i dont take supplements .i feel healthy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, the B12 level is not a cause for concern. Wish you good health!
