If the cardiologist has ruled out any heart problems, then you might want to see a lung specialist to be sure there are no lung issues which could account for your shortness of breath. Was your pulse ox checked and was it ok? Were you wheezing at all when you had the symptoms? A pulmonary doctor should evaluate you if the cardiologist says no heart issues. Best of luck to you!

It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without taking additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor and discuss if you may be depressed. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated. Drink more water. Wish you good health!

If you note breathing difficulties while at rest but not when you're physically active, it would point to anxiety as the problem. Breathing is an automatic natural function, but if you focus too much on it, your mechanics and rhythm of breathing will be off & make you quite uncomfortable.
