If the level exceeds the normal reference range of the laboratory, it is a positive result and along with your symptoms is reliable evidence of HSV 2 infection.

The positive IgG test only tells you that you had herpes sometime in the past. If the IgM was negative (I don't know what "negative for 1/2" means), you probably do not currently have herpes. No way to tell what the 3 bumps and ulcer are without an exam. Check with the doctor who ordered the STD screen.
