I kept picking at a small wart on my forehead- i went in to dermatologist and he did a biopsy as it looked inflamed. path report said wart with some atypical cells. could this be from all the picking i was doing? he said it wasn't cancer. what cause?

Atypical cells are different from cancer cells. Yes, they could be caused by repeated trauma and inflammation due to picking. With that biopsy result, you have nothing to worry about.

If the biopsy ruled out cancer, that is good news. Do not be concerned about typical cells. Any irritation, trauma and inflammation can produce cells that are normal or are atypical.
