A member asked:

How is inflammatory anthropathy in the wrist treated, and is it permanent? progressive? does it ever go away?

If the question refers to inflammatory "arthropathy", it may represent osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis, and both are progressive. Get a referral to a rheumatologist for guidance and diagnosis.

It really depends on the casue of the inflammatory arthropathy. Rheumatoid arthrits, gout, pseudogout, Lupus, osteoarthritis can all cause inflammation and pain in a wrist. Best to see a rheumatologist to determine your cause and focus treatment.
