After an egg is released during ovulation dies it stays 24 hours or longer? im asking this because i have seen too many conflicting responses. some say 24 while some say 24-48 while some say 24-72. i know quality of egg is important but im confused?

After released, an egg (ovum) survives less than 24 hours. The optimal time for the egg to be fertilized is about 4-6 hours after ovulation.
