I just started taking amitriptylin about 3-4 days ago, 25mg once a day at night. ever since the first dose, i've been lightheaded and quite high. total lack of libido, no appetite. should i consult my doctor or is this normal?

Appears that you are experiencing adverse side effects from the amitriptyline, and not unique to respond like this to tricyclic antidepressants which can cause anti-cholinergic problems. You may accommodate, but more likely you will have trouble tolerating this medication and an alternative will be required.
