A member asked:

My ophthalmologist says my chalazion on my eyelid is too diffuse to undergo surgery. ive had it for about a year, will it ever go away?

Although possible, this seems unlikely. If the chalzion is symptomatic, get another opinion about surgery and/or intralesional steroids. If it's asymptomatic, don't do anything

If it is inoperable then there are other options. Chalazion develops from obstruction and congestion of oils glands (meibomian glands) that are located behind the lashes. Other options are Steroid injection, hot packets , baby shampoo eye lash wash, Lipiflow which deep cleans the glands and ultrasound treatment like Blepjex.
