I had chalazion surgery 1/mo ago and my eyelid is still somewhat swollen (although not infected). is this normal and will it return to normal?

Postop lid swelling: Your lid should not be swollen in area of chalazion. By 1 month lid should be close to normal. Unless recurrence or hemorrhage into tissue. Check with you eye surgeon.

Eye surgery: The best thing to do when you have a question about a surgical procedure is to ask the doctor who performed it since they are the most knowledgeable. Swelling of this nature is not unusual and is one of the classic responses of the body to trauma. Surgery is controlled trauma. You should get better with time, but talk to your doctor anyway.
