Eye surgery: The best thing to do when you have a question about a surgical procedure is to ask the doctor who performed it since they are the most knowledgeable. Swelling of this nature is not unusual and is one of the classic responses of the body to trauma. Surgery is controlled trauma. You should get better with time, but talk to your doctor anyway.
