Read side effects of meloxicam & did not take it, because i already have muscle spasms,hbp&heartburn, which are listed side effects, as well as stroke?! pain,inflammation&stiffness in fingers is bad! doc gave me diclofenac sod ec. which one is safer?

Side effect profile is similar as they both belong to the so called non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs class or NSAIDs. Given location, you may want to try the topical diclofenac that is available over the counter, talk to your doc about your worries.
