I have used sleeping pills my whole life for insomnia, i have never been able to sleep without them, will i need sleeping pills the rest of my life?

Probably not: Sleep hygiene (going to sleep regularly at the same time, no lights or noises, avoid certain meals, not doing other things like reading/watching tv in bed, etc.) could help too. A thorough medical checkup would be also recommended. You can be weaned off sleeping pills even if you got addicted to it. See a psychiatrist willing to help you with your plan.
