I have had genital warts from hpv, nothing serious. my girlfriend did a cervical citology test and they found her perfectly fine. am i at risk of developing oral hpv? i have had both warts removed. will they keep coming? is my type of hpv cancerous?

HPV is caused by any of 200+ types of wart viruses. They are very contagious, but only about 8-12 types go on to cause cancer. In most people, they go away. Unless you got a full cytology report when yours were removed, there is no way to know what kind you had and if it is one of the cancer causing ones. Best bet would be to use barrier precautions to avoid transmission to oral or others.

If you have oral sex with someone who has the virus (oral or vaginal) Warts can recur- it depends on your immune system. In males generally it does not cancer tho in some studies it has been named as a contributing factor
