Typically, atorvastatin does not cause weight gain or weight loss. A change in diet, depending on the change, can certainly lead to weight gain. You may want to see a nutritionist to get some advice on the best diet for you to avoid significant undesired weight gain, and to control your lipids. You can call your primary care provider for a referral. Best of luck to you!

Atorvastatin is not likely to be the cause of your weight gain unless having some other symptoms attributable to it or timing strongly suggesting such an effect. Would suggest starting by reviewing your diet and physical activities.
