If side effects from lipitor (atorvastatin) are intolerable, what other treatments are there (in additions to healthy diet, exercise)?

Lipid profile needed: Options are to try Lipitor (atorvastatin) in lower dose, every other day or another station like pravastatin which may be better tolerated. Depending on your lipid sub-fraction, other treatments such as fibrates, niacin, fish oil or ezetimibe may work as well.
