Are these sharp but fleeting chest pains which induce anxiety and a forceful heart beat rather than an irregularity? Did an outpatient monitor detect any cardiac irregularity when you had palpitations and chest discomfort? If no irregularity at the time of palpitations, then no arrhythmia. Fleeting chest pain occurring simultaneously with a fleeting arrhythmia would be unusual. Had a stress test?
