How much magnesium should i take for heart palpitations? i have been evaluated by a cardiologist and told they were benign pvcs and to take magnesium, but im not sure how much to take for palpitations?

Even when your serum magnesium is normal, we can't be sure of the level of intracellular magnesium. I have started with doses of 200 mg of magnesium glycinate( may cause less diarrhea) daily and titrated up to 600 mgs daily in patients on diuretics. Check serum levels at this dose range though. Very high doses of magnesium can be dangerous. I think 200 mgs is a.good starting dose for you.
