I was diagnosed with gd and ive been eating healthier, i also drink a gallon of water a day, ive been eating healthy fats, carbs and protein. also fiber but i am constantly constipated ive never suffered from constipation. is it because of pregnan?

I assume your thyroid isn't underactive. Since you're doing all the correct things to encourage regular bowel movements and you have little urge to have BM's, you could ask your obstetrician to recommend a safe laxative for you to take as needed. I'm sure that he/she would also ok your taking stool softeners daily.

You may take a fiber laxative like Metamucil and drink enough water daily so that your urine is colorless. For the long term you may try to increase your intake of fiber foods.
