This can be answered best by a visit to an otolaryngologist (ear, nose and throat doctor) who can easily visualize the larynx with a nasopharyngoscopic exam.

An ENT doctor can examine your vocal cords to diagnose or rule out polyp or other lesions. If there are no organic lesions, consultation with a speech therapist would be prudent.
