A member asked:

If you've been exposed to someone who tested positive for covid with an at home test and inconclusive for the second test at the dr, do you need to quarantine? i'm vaccinated but my 15 yr old isn't & just had surgery last week?

This whole reaction is being blown out of proportion. You have just about no chance of being sick and your 15 year old should be watched carefully to be sure they are continuing to heal, and are not presenting Covid symptoms. It is quite possible that they may have been exposed and had no reaction. To know they would need a blood test for titer for antibodies.

Break through cases may occur. A repeat test is recommended at day 5 to 7 after the exposure for you and for your daughter. A COVID-19 vaccination and flu vaccine recommended for family members who are not vaccinated. Your daughter in particular should self quarantine, and watch for flu like symptoms this week. Avoid contact with the elderly and those with weak immune systems.
