A member asked:

I have my apple watch that has ecg readings and it shows no afib and my blood pressure monitor shows irregular heartbeat what does that mean?

If the watch is accurately detecting an irregular pulse but not a fib, be aware that other arrhythmias like extrasystoles or benign sinus arrhythmia cause irregular pulse. You can palpate your artery at the wrist or neck to determine whether there's an irregularity. An EKG or wearing an outpatient heart monitor is best to document cardiac arrhythmias.

Not all arrhythmias are a fib, with the majority being benign and common. It ultimately has to do with your ability of handling unrequested personal health information that can create serious health related anxiety.
