These 2 beta blockers are more specific for the cardiovascular system and aren't usually prescribed to treat anxiety. The older,more nonspecific beta blocker, propranolol has been used to treat tremors and performance anxiety. Your pharmacist can give you more information on this topic.

Neither are approved to treat anxiety. There have been no head to head studies comparing them in the treament of anxiety
