Hyperthyroidism should be diagnosed by appropriate tests and a thoro physical exam and then alone can the cause be determined. Pl see reputable endocrinologist if you think you have symptoms GI issues and food sensitivity will not cause it.

Hyperthyroidism is due to increased production and the effects of thyroid hormones. It is not be due to but can cause GI issues. There could be association if what is irritating the thyroid gland in the neck to be overactive is also affecting the GI; also the thyroid hormones have effect on the function of all organs including the gastrointestinal tract. Food can affect the thyroid like low iodine
