Hey, i have had a pain under my left rib. i can pinpoint the spot, it's a very small area. it is a dull pain but can sometimes be sharper. i feel pressure in the area where it hurts whenever it doesn't hurt?

Not serious: The symptom doesn't suggest a serious problem. Possibly a slight chest wall strain or minor irritation. If you have no other medical problems, an OTC analgesic like Tylenol (acetaminophen) or Aleve will help. As always, if the pain persists for a number of weeks you should follow up with your physician for a more specific diagnosis.
