Your symptoms of upper abdominal pain/discomfort most likely are related to benign causes including gastritis, reflux esophagitis and gall stones. At age 20, you probably do not have a primary care physician but should establish care with one to discuss the abdominal pain and undergo a work-up which could include a blood test, barium swallow and/or an upper endoscopy performed by a GI specialist.

Pain in the abdomen can be caused by issues related to your bowel movement, liver dysfunction and rarely a tumor. But Cancer is distinctly uncommon in 20 year olds. I would advise you to relax and not worry. Monitor the pain over one month. If there is anything serious going on, the pain would likely increase. otherwise it will settle down itself.. If pain gets worse a CT scan can be done to check
