You either start on the first day of your cycle or on Sunday after the onset of menses, i.e. do not take this Sunday if you think you will not have period until next week. Remember to use additional non-hormonal contraception (such as condoms and spermicide) for the first seven days of the patient’s first cycle pack of Tri-Sprintec.

Start on the very first day of your menstrual period and practice "safer sex" by using male or female condoms, getting your anti-HPV vaccine...discuss other contraceptive options that may be more effective like an IUD (intrauterine device) or a subdermal implant... with a caring and knowledgeable clinician .
