Your call. If the symptoms improved during treatment the antibiotic was likely able to kill the germs. If not, it may have done nothing. Duration of therapy is based on the time needed to kill the germs, not end all symptoms. Symptoms are often a reflection of irritation/damage caused by the germs that may persist until the body repairs the tissues.

What are the symptoms? When did it start? Hw long have you been on Macrobid? If you work around sick people you may have a resistant BUG. I would go to a walk in where they can do a urinalysis and culture. Not an ER Or can you do one at your Dr's office without seeing the Drs.
