I have pain in my left rib. abdominal ct was clear, chest x-ray was clear, blood panels look good. they gave me morphine and it made the pain worse. what could cause this?

What area? what was found on exam? history of injury? all these things are as equally important as doing the expensive tests you had. Morphine is not the right drug for moderate pain. Motrin/ acetoaminophen should be tried first. Try them. If not better see a- -nother MD
