A member asked:

I have frequent strong bouts of nausea and vomiting about two or three times a month with no other symptoms, feeling completely fine in between, what could be the cause?

Your body is talking to you. Listen and take good notes. Focus on what is going on or you are eating/taking/doing before each episode. Share with your Dr and you all will figure it out.

Dr. G's advice is solid. I assume you're not pregnant. Has this pattern of cyclic nausea&vomiting been going on since childhood? Is it specific food induced? Stress related? If so,consider stress management.Associated with migraine type headache? Do you get enough warning to take an antinausea medication to prevent the vomiting?.It may be worthwhile to consult a gastroenterologist for an opinion
