Have had terrible achilles tendinitis for years. im a runner doing stretches several times daily. last night pain was so bad it kept me up entire night despite aleve tylenol and pain pill. today is good. at what point do i see a doctor?

If your pain is interfering with function, you should be seen by a doctor. Sleepless nights due to pain would be significant pain interfering with function. Orthopedist or sports medicine doc is suggested. You should not have to manage terrible Achilles tendinitis on your own. Best wishes.

See your doctor ASAP, as this needs to be addressed directly. A podiatrist might suggest orthotics, and a physiatrist might start a rehab program. Your stretching has not solved the problem and you should become proactive, as appropriate intervention can prolong your running interests.
