What can i do to reduce the pain in my achilles tendon? advil? tylenol (acetaminophen)? alleve?

Either: Either of the above are a good start. Ice is good. Try placing a heel lift in your shoe so that the tendon doesn;t have to go thru a full range of motion, it is somewhat "preloaded". Try not to use it i.E (refrai from the gym.) during the recovery period.
