Most people have to rely on SNRI for a long time for controlling their behavior problem. I do not think what you mentioned is an adverse effect of SNRI.

An SNRI anti-depressant does effect neurotransmitter function as part of its basic mechanism, but does not cause brain atrophy or structural changes in either gray or white matter. If such problems are detectable on imaging, an evaluation for Alzheimer's, vascular dementia, or Lewy Body disease should commence.
