Not related: If your symptoms occured immediately after ingesting the almond chocolate, it may be an allergy. One week later, your symptoms are not related to it. You may have environmental allergies. See an allergist and get tested to determine your triggers.

Not good signs: Possible food allergy. But that is a long time for that to be the source of your problem. Sounds viral. Did Benadryl (diphenhydramine) help? Check color of mucus. Any fever? Seek physician for diagnosis.
