Since one's metabolic rate can vary, if you can continue on a low calorie ("1700 cal.") and maintain exercise at a "400 cal." rate (which will require long rapid walking, or dynamic muscular activity, such as swimming or running), the caloric balance will approach "1300", but this takes patience and discipline to maintain.

You will need to reduce your consumption as you lose weight. It is better to not make up for the caloric loss from exercise with food.
