Is the "3,500 calories is equal to 1 pound" metric accurate? i use an elliptical machine and i never burn 3500 calories while using it, however i'm still losing weight and inches even though i sometimes consume more calories afterwards. explain?

Calories: You must be eating fewer and or burning more calories to lose. Weight. Get the app Cronometer and enter all you eat/drink and exercise and it should become clear what the problem is. Discuss with your team.
Don’t forget every one is different but you and Cronometer should give a good idea of where the problem lies.
