It is possible to get pressure in the gums this young from teething. Usually the teeth will erupt at a later time. Also monitor for other possible sources of discomfort e.g. otitis media.

Unusual, but not enough to rate a journal article. Timing of eruption is genetically determined. Some children are born w erupted teeth, some don't get 1st tooth until 18+ months. Standard of care is that ALL children should have 1st dental exam no later than 1st b'day. Because of your children's early eruption pattern, recommend that they see pediatric dental specialist, a Pedodontist.

The baby is due for immunizations at 2 months, and your pediatrician may offer additional advice. If fussy, other causes should be rules out. Gum pressure may be present prior to 6 months. Monitor your son's temperature, flu vaccine for household members and caregivers recommended.
