Hello doctors, my mom has had an ovary cyst since 2018, when it was approx. 16cm in diameter, now it is 45cm if i heard her right. i'm very scared and i want to know all the negatives because i didn't know she has one until today. thanks in advance?

You need to double check with your mom or her doctor who ordered the test. If the cyst is indeed 45 cm, it should be removed.

I would recommend you spend $20 and get a 1 weeks subscription to uptodate.com and read everything that has to do with ovarian cyst and print out for you Mom what are called the Basics and Beyond the Basics on cysts and then discuss with her Drs. Good reading.
