Allergy: Unfortunately, oranges are acidic and are likely to give babies younger than 12 months old rashes. The acid can cause terrible diaper rashes and even rashes around the mouth and lips due to the high levels of acidity. These babies usually have history of allergy. You might try small amount of citrus to see if baby allergic. If develops problem, should probably wait til 1 yr.

Can or should ?: Nothing stops a parent from trying stuff because a friend suggested it and nothing bad was noted. Yet there are reasons to reconsider. Infants have a poorly developed sense of taste and don't savor these items, just because you do.Oj is also not necessary to a balanced nutrition.I look at oj and all other juices as flavored sugar, and a set up to teach babies to crave sweets.
