A member asked:

Tinnitus and hearing loss aside - what are the signs an acoustic neuroma is becoming too big/dangerous and pushing on the brain, possibly fatal? when would it be too late to act on? can the factors that indicate it will be fatal be missed?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not clear from your post whether you or family member have a neuroma, or if this is a theoretical question. Since there are numerous variables, this cannot be precisely answered in this forum. Recommend more information at Mayo Clinic or Johns Hopkins websites.
