I am not certain how many 66 year old endurance athletes have been tested and followed to answer this question. Please discuss with your Cardiologist.

the consensus at present is that the "athletes heart" is not abnormal and that cessation of training will restore normalcy . However, to my knowledge this question has never been fully resolved. For example, arrhythmias have been reported in some endurance athletes. One difficulty is determining whether the heart was truly normal prior to athletic training.
