A member asked:

Doctor suspected brugada while in hospital. i had stress test, mri, and sent to cath lab for ekg. he couldn't find anything. in 6 months i will get a ziopatch to monitor my heart. is all this necessary?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Brugada syndrome: is something you can follow regularly with a cardiologist likely for the rest of your life. I assure you this is necessary as Brugada is known to be lethal. However, if you have high blood pressure you probably need to take a medicine that will both protect your heart and control your rhythm. Negative cath, cardiac MRI and stress tests sound reassuring however. Thanks for trusting in HealthTap
