Dup usually has few symptoms and can be seen or felt by looking at and feeling the palms. Ulnar nerve cannot.

Dupytren's contracture causes a visible deformity, and diminution of finger range of motion. Ulnar neuropathy causes numbness, tingling, and weakness with/ without muscle atrophy. Your doctor can easily discern the difference.
