Steve Jobs syndrome: Ulnar nerve entrapment or compression tends to initially have more sensory symptoms as opposed to motor symptoms. The ulnar nerve supplies or innervates many of the hand muscles including some of the muscles involved in control of the thumb (e.g. Adductor pollicis muscle). This may have caused the symptoms described.
