A member asked:

Does gabapentin with nortriptyline combination does any good in idiopathic rls? is there any role of such anti-depressant when gabapentin itself is sufficient for someone to counter rls symptoms?

While gabapentin has been used to treat RLS, specialists treating this condition tend to use several other medications as they seem to be more effective. Nortriptyline may potentiate side effects of gabapentin and I wouldn't recommend such a combination. Consult a neurologist with a special interest in or with a lot of experience in treating RLS. You may have to see one at a university hospital

Do you take nortriptyline now, and if so, for what condition?
