One day of dehydration will not stunt your growth. A 16 year old boy should drink 8 glasses of water per day, more when active in sports. Drink more when you are thirsty. Avoid drinks with caffeine, alcohol, or high sugar content. If your urine is too dark, too stinky, or not coming at all, it means you must drink more water. Keep drinking water until your urine is nearly clear.
